Niagara a wonder of the world...

Smoking suits, smoking sauce & smoking juice at Smoking Joes.

One of the most interesting aspects of the area is the large Native American population in town. I have some Native American hertitage so I found the large reservation across from the school I was working at amazing.

One of the craziest things I found on the reservation was a shop called Smoking Joes (which started years ago as a cigarette shop). It's like an all-in-one everything shop complete with a deli selling great one dollar hotdogs and burgers, cheap gas (no tax), bottled homemade spaghetti sauce, and suits (where else in the world do you see that)? It also had an excellent Native American art museum attached to it with some great works.

After spending a week and a half in Western New York I find myself relaxed. I really enjoy driving past the farms and the reservation every morning (with music blasting), I'm driving slower (even though I'm still the fastest car on the road), and I'm already a regular at breakfast and lunch (although Starbucks only opened six months ago and it's all tourists).
