Ottawa (eh)

Getting out and aboot.

I've been in Ottawa now for a few days working with Adobe on a cool youth media program but I haven't had the chance to really get to know the city well. It's been mostly cabs, office buildings, and the hotel because most everything else closes early. The program has been terrific but now that it's nearly over I'm ready to get out into the city and see what it has to offer.

The Adobe office is next to Chinatown and Little Italy so I have had a chance to explore those areas a bit and they are pretty interesting. It's one of the oldest areas in the city and it's been changing quite a bit. The food is terrific and I get the feeling that the area is developing more and more so it's in the process of change.

The Adobe building itself is a pretty spectacular building that makes me jealous of the private sector. There is a great media setup in the rooms, a gorgeous panoramic view, and a Starbucks with restaurants in the lobby. I want to have a work environment like this one day!
