Tokyo, Japan

Another interesting sub-section in Tokyo is the Akihabara Electric Town which earns its name in signage alone. This was one of the craziest areas in Tokyo- always crowded, bright lights flashing, and loaded with electronic stores and anime shops. The anime seemed to jump over the rated X line pretty quickly but its massively popular in Japan and it's pretty common to see someone reading a pretty edgy manga or shopping for some overly suggestive toys anywhere in the city.

The area was thriving and the streets were loaded with characters- both figuratively like the drunk man with the painted on fu-man-chu mustache who tried to hug me and literally with young men and women dressed as their favorite character on the street corner.
