Berkshires Food

It wouldn't be right to not at least say a word or two about the food during the trip. The Bed and Breakfasts I stayed at were warm and a home away from home but in both the food was king. I was very impressed with the creative, full breakfasts offered and the home baked goods. It was as gourmet as any Manhattan breakfast spot I've been to with a big dose of authenticity. The restaurants were pretty top notch as well. The area has some fresh seafood and each area seemed to have an original and affordable spin on the cuisine.

It was great not to wait for a table and to get good, personal service everywhere. I love the big home-town meals in the Berkshires and Woodstock awed me with it's "everything fusion". Even the little town of Cooperstown had some good spots and a first rate coffee shop with pressed sandwiches. The food alone made the trip worth while and it really wasn't costly.
