UPstate NY Albany

I made a short stop in Albany (which I'll now refer to as purgatory) hoping for a Starbucks and wanting to see the city a little bit. The downtown area of the city was devoid of people for the most part. I visited the capitol in high school with Mr. Fiorelli and loved it but it appears the charm might've been in the trip and not the city. Maybe it was the recent downfall of our Governor Spitzer but it didn't have the same magic (or maybe the magic is now in a cheap hotel somewhere- who knows). I stopped by the university which was pretty active but it was mostly hole-in-the-wall bars and pizza joints.

I stopped by the dorms where my girlfriend once resided and they reminded me of a prison camp a bit, not real "people-friendly". Either way I was headed to Cooperstown which appeared to be hard to find in daylight, let alone at midnight so it was high time I hit the road.
